Swansea University was named University of the Year in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards in 2019 for the second time. In 2020, The Whatuni Student Choice Awards are voted for entirely by students, with more than 41,000 reviews and comments submitted from more than 160 UK institutions.

Swansea University is ranked top in Wales in The Guardian University Guide 2021 for the second year running, rising from 31st to 24th overall. The proportion of students achieving graduate-level employment or further study within 15 months of graduating sees Swansea ranked joint 23rd.
We place our students at the heart of everything. As a result, we achieved a gold rating, the highest rating possible, in the national Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) and are ranked 6th in the UK for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey for 2020 (based on a list of 131 institutions that appear in the Times Good University Guide)
