About

Sharon Harvey qualified as a nurse in 1996 and worked in intensive care services across South and West Wales before becoming a clinical skills tutor at Swansea University. In over 17 years in higher education and now an Associate Professor, Sharon has undertaken a number of roles including: adult nursing team leader, programme director for the MA in Education for the Health Professions and latterly Deputy Head of Learning and Teaching for the School of Health and Social Care.   

Sharon is passionate about ensuring a high-quality student learning experience and has been involved in developing curricula for a number of programmes including the MA Education for the Health Professions and the MSc Nursing (Pre-registration) programme which was the first postgraduate pre-registration nursing programme in Wales. Development of these programmes involved at both an operational and steering group level working with professional bodies to ensure the development of high-quality programmes.
