About
I am a Subject Librarian providing support for the College of Engineering, School of Management and the Education programme in the College of Human and Health Sciences. I support staff, students and researchers through pre-arranged taught sessions, one-to-one appointments, email queries and drop-in enquiries. Topics I can help with include:-
- Literature searching and effective search strategies
- Finding and accessing academic databases and other specialist resources for your subject
- Referencing and avoiding plagiarism
I am also the disability contact librarian for Bay Campus, acting as a named contact for support and information about the library services available for students and staff. My role involves maintaining and developing the Inclusive Library Services webpage. I am part of the Inclusive Services Group in ISS.
Externally, I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and I am part of the Welsh Higher Education Library Forum (WHELF) Learning and Teaching Group. I completed a PGCE in post-compulsory education and training in 2013.
