About

Emma joined Swansea University’s Hilary Rodham Clinton School of Law as a Tutor in Law in January 2023, after teaching Law for over four years in Further Education. Emma is a Swansea University alumni, gaining a First Class Honours in her LL.B degree in 2014 and a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course in 2016.

Emma gained over three years’ conveyancing experience for an international law firm, but always remained adamant that her ‘forever career’ would be in academia. She achieved a Distinction in the PGCE from the University of South Wales and Emma’s interests include Criminal Law, Criminology and Human Rights. She is currently preparing for her PhD in Youth Justice.

Career Highlights

Teaching Interests

Digital technology, particularly experimenting with new digital tools to incorporate within the classroom. I was previously a ‘Digital Peer Mentor’ teaching staff on how to teach effectively remotely. I was recognised by Microsoft for my teaching during the pandemic as a ‘Microsoft Innovative Education Expert’.
