Alice is a Senior Lecturer and qualified Audiologist with dual RCCP and HCPC registration as an NHS clinical Audiologist and a Hearing Aid Dispenser. She graduated from Swansea University with a first-class honours degree in Audiology and has since gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education and HEA teaching fellowship.  Alice’s specialist areas include Adult Aural Rehabilitation with a particular interest in Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Therapy.  This interest led to Alice acting as Secretary for the British Society of Audiology (BSA) Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Special Interest Group from November 2016 until March 2019.  Through this, she has been instrumental in the development of BSA Practice Guidance for Tinnitus in Adults and the redevelopment of various BSA Recommended Procedures which influence current Audiological practice within the UK.  Alice was recognised as a Senior Fellow of the British Society of Audiology in 2020.

Alice is the Programme Director for the Certificate in Basic Audiological Practice which is a FHEQ level 4 undergraduate qualification for Associate Audiologists working within NHS Wales.  She has developed further undergraduate modules to support Associate Audiologists in their development and to support their applications for PTP equivalence to register and work as qualified Audiologists.  As a STEM ambassador, Alice is a keen advocate for employability within Healthcare Science often hosting and attending events to promote Audiology to school-aged children within Wales.
