Request and Collect

The library has launched a new Request & Collect service to provide current students and staff with easy access to many of our items.

Items must be requested online – it is not possible to make requests at the library.

You can request an item by logging in to your iFind account and searching for the item you require. Once you have found it in the listed results, click on the title to open the full record. If the item is eligible, and you have signed in to iFind, then you will be able to request the item and choose your pickup location.

Please contact MyUni Library if you require any further assistance with placing requests or accessing library materials.

Bay and Singleton Park Libraries

The Request & Collect service is available at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries during library opening hours.

You will receive an email once your item is available for collection. This email contains an identifying collection reference code which you will need to find your item on the Request & Collect shelves. The email will also confirm which library your item is available for collection from – please ensure this is the location you expect before travelling to the library. The date that your request expires will be detailed in the email.

Please bring your university ID card and collection reference code with you to the library.

When you arrive at the library please follow the designated route for collecting your item and observe the 2 metre social distancing guidelines. You will use the collection reference code to find your item on the Request & Collect shelves and then proceed to the self-issue machine to borrow the item with your ID card.

During busy periods it may be necessary to queue outside the library to use this service.

You will also be able to return items to designated points within the library when using the Request & Collect service.

South Wales Miners' Library

The South Wales Miners’ Library is providing a Request & Collect service on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am - 4pm.

You will receive an email once your item is available for collection. Please come to Reception with your ID Card and collection reference code to collect items and observe the 2 metre social distancing guidelines. During busy periods it may be necessary to queue outside the library to use this service.

You will be able to return items via the Book Return Drop in the library foyer, but this will only be possible during the Request & Collect opening hours.

St David's Park Library

St David's Park Library is providing a Request & Collect service on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 10am -2pm.

You will receive an email to state books are available to collect. Please come to Reception with your ID Card to collect items.

You will also be asked to use this day to Return items as well as Collect items.
