Opening hours and contact information

Update to services at Singleton Park and Bay Libraries

Effective from Monday 27^th September 2021, Singleton Park Library and Bay Library are open for access to study spaces, printing zones and browsing bookstacks without booking in advance. Bookable study spaces and the Request & Collect service are also available.

Please see below for details of library opening hours. Library users will need to show staff/student ID cards at library entrances.

Library opening hours update (effective from 27th September 2021):

With effect from Monday, 27^th September 2021, Bay and Singleton Park Libraries are open as follows:

Monday - Friday	24 hours	08:00 - 20:00
Saturday - Sunday	24 hours	12:00 - 20:00

Online support for Library and IT Services is available by emailing Customer Services and via Service Desk between the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am - 8pm
Saturday - Sunday: 12pm - 8pm

You can also phone us on +44 (0) 1792 295500 from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Please be advised that some staff are currently working from home and some calls are being forwarded to mobile devices.

The following services can be accessed via self-service as follows:

Service	Location
Requesting and borrowing library items	Current students and staff may browse library shelves and borrow items via the Self-Issue terminals, located opposite the Information Desk. Items can also be requested or recalled by using our Request & Collect service.
Returning books	Library items can be returned via the Self-Return terminal, located near the Information Desk. Inter-Library Loans can be returned to staff at the Information Desk, during Information Desk open hours.
Loan Laptops	Loan laptops can be borrowed from our Laptop Lockers at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries (subject to availability). Please see our Laptop Lockers page for more information on borrowing and returning loan laptops.
Study Spaces	Bookable and open access study/PC spaces are available at Singleton Park and Bay Libraries. Spaces marked as 'Open Access' in the library can be used without a booking at any time. Please see our Bookable Study/PC spaces page for information on reserving a bookable space.

ID Card Issue	If you are a new student and need to collect your student ID card, please see our ID Card Collection page. If you are a new member of staff and need to collect your staff ID card, please see the information on collecting your staff ID card on the Staff Intranet. If you are a student or a member of staff and require a replacement ID card, please visit the Library Information Desk during information desk open hours. Please note that there is a £4.00 replacement fee for lost or damaged cards, and you will need to show photo ID.
IT Enquiries	Please log a call on the IT Service Desk We regret that we cannot book in any devices at this time but will provide self-service instructions wherever possible. Staff - For working from home guidance, please see the Staff Intranet.

Summer Vacation 2022 Open Hours

The Bay Library building and information desk will be open as follows during the Summer Vacation, effective from Monday 6^th June until Monday 29^th August 2022:

24-hour library building opening will resume from 8:00am, Tuesday 30^th August 2022.
