Teaching or Training Mobility

All Erasmus+ Staff mobility must be planned in line with Swansea University's International Travel Policy. The following documents need to be completed and signed off by your head of department prior to participation: 

• Justification report (pages 4 & 5) of the International Activity Info Sheet which can be found under Off-Site Activities
• International Travel Risk Assessment (appendix 2)

To help complete the Risk Assessment, you can register with Drum Cussac to review the current travel advice reports and information for the country you intend on travelling to and any countries you will transit through.

The participating countries are as follows: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey.    

If you would like to undertake mobility at one of Swansea's exchange partners you can find a list of universities here.

The International Development Office is happy to support new agreements should you wish to undertake a teaching exchange at a university with whom we do not currently hold an active agreement, please contact Leah Everett to discuss further.

Erasmus+ provides funding for staff mobility as a grant contribution towards subsistence and travel.

• Travel costs – related to the trip, for example, travel from Swansea to the host and back but NOT local travel
• Subsistence costs –  hotel, food, local travel, etc. The following cannot be claimed for: alcoholic drinks except when taken with a meal; drinks from a hotel mini bar; toiletries; newspapers; magazines; travel guides and any other item which is for personal use. 

Up to 2 travel days can be awarded as a day's subsistence for staff travelling before and/or after the mobility. If there are training or teaching activities on the same day as travelling, you are not entitled to a travel day.
